Under Wood Heating System

The use of luxury timber flooring is becoming more popular and as a result of market demand, Magnum has developed a technically advanced system as a heating solution for real wood and laminate floors. 

Most existing systems suitable for timber flooring require to be installed in a cement screed however Magnum Microfoil heating system can be placed directly underneath wooden, parquet or laminate floors.  This very thin floor heating system (only 0.3 mm!) is controlled by a digital clock-thermostat with floor sensor, which ensures an equal heat distribution throughout the floor.

The floor temperature will be limited to a recommended maximum temperature of 28ºC.

Magnum Microfoil should be placed on 6mm thin polystyrene insulation plates, these insulation plates not only increase the thermal value of the floor but also reduce noise.

Magnum Microfoil is simple to install, can be cut to size and ensures a comfortable warm environment when using a timber floor.

Guarantee:
2 years guarantee on the thermostat. MAGNUM Microfoil should be connected to 230 V supply. Installation should be done by a qualified electrician in accordance with IEE & current building regulations.

Technical details:
Only 0.3mm thin and 60mm wide, with a power of 80 or 120 Watt/m²
Maximum length: 18m x 0.60m can only be used for laminate and wooden floors up to 22mm.
Laminate and wooden floors should not be adhered to the heating system. The foil must never be attached to the wood or laminate. Consult the manufacturer of your wooden flooring to ensure that their product is suitable for use with electrical floor heating.
The floor and underlay may not have a higher thermal resistance R = 0.18 W/m²K
May only be used as extra heating (sub heating) and in dry conditions, IP X1
Floor temperature should be limited to 28 degree Celsius by the digital clock thermostat with floor sensor.
MAGNUM Microfoil should always be installed on top of the Magnum Isoplate, 6 mm. Magnum can supply these polystyrene insulation plates. The MAGNUM Microfoil should also be covered by a 0.2mm moisture barrier.
Magnum Microfoil must be connected to a RCD (max 30mA)
